Hands writing a letter at a wooden desk in warm afternoon light

My story begins
on a screen-tired afternoon.

The Texas Letter Club started the way most good things do — quietly. A box of unused stationery, a pot of strong coffee, and a stubborn feeling that something meaningful had gone missing in my mailbox.

So I wrote one letter. Then another. I mailed them to friends, to homesick transplants, to a relative in San Antonio who hadn’t opened a real envelope in years. The letters came back warmer than they left.

Today I hand-write every letter from a small studio between bluebonnets and thunderstorms — full of stories from every corner of Texas, the kind that don’t fit on a screen and don’t need to.
